Woods soars in women's world rankings

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Cheyenne Woods picked up her first professional victory on Sunday and that helped her soar in this week's world rankings.

Woods, the niece of men's world No. 1 Tiger Woods, climbed 209 spots to No. 154 after her win at the Volvik RACV Ladies Masters.

The top 10 in the rankings were unchanged from a week ago with No. 1 Inbee Park followed by Suzann Pettersen, Stacy Lewis, Lydia Ko, So Yeon Ryu, Shanshan Feng, Na Yeon Choi, Karrie Webb, Lexi Thompson and I.K. Kim.

Catriona Matthew, Paula Creamer, Cristie Kerr, Ha Na Jang, Amy Yang and Jiyai Shin remained in the 11th to 16th positions. Hee Young Park inched up one to 17th and that pushed Lizette Salas down to No. 18. Angela Stanford and Beatriz Recari rounded out the top 20 again.
