A'Torri Shine scored 19 points as Grambling State broke a 45-game Division I losing streak, knocking off Alcorn State 95-80 on Monday.

Grambling State (2-18, 1-10 Southwestern Athletic Conference) beat a Division I opponent for the first time since Mar. 3, 2012, a win over Alabama A&M in that season's finale. The Tigers shot 61 percent from the floor, including 12 of 20 from beyond the arc. Terry Rose scored 18 points, Antwan Scott added 16 points and eight rebounds and Remond Brown had 12 points.

LeAntwan Luckett led Alcorn State (8-15, 5-6) with 20 points. Octavius Brown had 17, Marquis Vance added 14 and Marius Miles 11.

Grambling State raced out to a 46-36 halftime lead by shooting 69.6 percent (16 of 23), including 6 of 10 3-pointers. They made six more treys after the break and 21 of 25 from the line.
