Angelo Warner scored 12 points as Morehead State held on for a 65-54 victory over Jacksonville State Saturday.

Greg Dotson had 10 points for the Eagles (15-9, 6-3 Ohio Valley Conference) and Jordan Percell came off the bench to score nine points. Chad Posthumus led the team with 12 rebounds.

D.J. Felder led the Gamecocks (10-15, 4-6) with 12 points and six rebounds.

Jacksonville State took an early lead in the first period and held it to a 30-28 advantage at the break.

Morehead State turned it around early in the second, capping an 18-8 run with a dunk by Dotson to lead 46-38 with 8:51 to play. Dotson had two more dunks and Drew Kelly hit a 3 to help the Eagles fend off a late Jacksonville State rally highlighted by a pair of Undra Mitchem 3-pointers which brought the Gamecocks to within three with 4:29 remaining.
