Melbourne, Australia (SportsNetwork.com) - Canadian Daniel Nestor and France's Kristina Mladenovic captured the mixed doubles title at the Australian Open Sunday with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over the sixth-seeded duo of India's Sania Mirza and Romania's Horia Tecau.

Nestor won the mixed doubles championship in Melbourne for the third time. It's his fourth such Grand Slam title, joining his 2013 effort last year at Wimbledon, also with Mladenovic.

The 41-year-old Nestor and 20-year-old Mladenovic will split $117,500.
