Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant missed Friday's 101-83 win over the Boston Celtics while resting his sore right shoulder.
Durant, who injured his shoulder during Wednesday's win over the Spurs, sat in the midst of a scoring tear.
The MVP candidate has notched at least 30 points in nine straight games, averaging 38.9 points per contest over that stretch. He scored career-high 54 points in a win over Golden State on Jan. 17.
Oklahoma City won its sixth straight game and first in franchise history with both Russell Westbrook (knee) and Durant out of the lineup.
The Thunder improved to 10-6 all-time without Durant.
