Minnesota leading scorer Andre Hollins has a sprained left ankle that will likely keep him out of the next game. X-rays revealed no broken bones.

Hollins also had an MRI test Thursday that confirmed the original diagnosis. The university announced Hollins' status for Sunday at Nebraska as doubtful, and the junior will be re-evaluated daily. Hollins has missed only one game in his career, as a freshman due to a sprained ankle.

Hollins was hurt after swishing a jumper on the opening possession Wednesday in the win over Wisconsin. His ankle rolled hard, and he was helped off the court without putting any weight on his foot just 16 seconds into the game. He was using a boot and crutches afterward.

Hollins is averaging 15.5 points per game.
