INDIANAPOLIS – Juan Pablo Montoya spent 13 years lamenting his absence from the Indianapolis 500.

The 38-year-old Colombian feels rejuvenated knowing he will finally get a chance to win a second 500 title. After losing his ride with Chip Ganassi's NASCAR team, one of the world's most versatile drivers wasted no time in following his heart back to open-wheel racing.

It's a new start for Montoya. He joined Ganassi's biggest rival, Roger Penske, and has been using most of the offseason to get re-acclimated to the cars and the higher speeds.

So far, Montoya says he's been taking it slow.

But when the season begins March 30 at St. Petersburg, IndyCar veterans don't think it will take long for Montoya to get up to speed.
