One of the Dallas Cowboys players who was with former defensive tackle Josh Brent the night of a crash that killed a teammate has taken the stand at Brent's intoxication manslaughter trial.

Safety Danny McCray testified Thursday that he, Brent and others played video games on Dec. 7, 2012, before going to dinner and a Dallas nightclub.

Brent and practice squad player Jerry Brown were driving home early Dec. 8 when Brent wrecked his Mercedes, leaving Brown dead. Brown, a linebacker, was also a teammate of Brent's at the University of Illinois.

Prosecutors say Brent had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit. Brent's attorney denies his client was drunk.

McCray is one of several players expected to testify.

Brent faces 20 years in prison if convicted.
