Eindhoven, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) - PSV Eindhoven has bolstered its options at forward with the addition of Bryan Ruiz from Fulham, who joins the club on loan for the remainder of the season.

Ruiz returns to the Eredivisie after spending the past two seasons in England with Fulham, which he joined in January 2011 from Dutch side Twente.

But after helping Twente capture the league title in 2009-10, Ruiz failed to maintain his form at Craven Cottage.

"It's true that I did not have much time lately at Fulham, so I see this as a great opportunity for me," Ruiz said. "I want to get my confidence back, helping PSV to finish as high as possible and prepare for the World Cup is the target. I am very motivated to play for PSV."

The 28-year-old scored one goal in 12 league appearances for the Cottagers this season, but he is hopeful that getting regular playing time with PSV will help him prepare for the 2014 World Cup with Costa Rica.

PSV's director of football Marcel Brands revealed that there is no option to make the move permanent.
