Manchester, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Manchester United will hope to end its troubling run of form on Saturday when the club hosts Swansea City in a rematch at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have lost three straight matches across all competitions, most recently falling in a 2-1 loss at Sunderland in the Capital One Cup.

United has also endured back-to-back home defeats, losing to Tottenham in Premier League action on New Year's Day before suffering a 2-1 loss to Swansea in FA Cup play on Sunday.

Another loss to Swansea would represent United's worst run since 1981 when they experienced eight defeats in 10 matches under Dave Sexton, but club legend Ryan Giggs has urged his side to stage a comeback in the second half of the season.

"It is a test of character but I am fully confident we will come through it and we will be okay," said the Welshman. "I have said many times over the years, the defeats and losses generate a bigger feeling than winning things. It sticks with you a lot longer.

"You have to react and you have to try and do something about it. It hurts. There are players at this club who only know winning. It is important for the older players, who have been through these sticky patches before to help the younger ones."

Swansea, meanwhile, will be hoping to improve upon its 13th-place position in the Premier League table.

Sunday's win over United could not have come at a better time as the Swans have not earned a league victory since Dec. 4. But the longest current winless run in the English top flight belongs to West Ham, which takes on a Cardiff City side on Saturday that has been rejuvenated by the arrival of new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Hammers have managed just two points from its last seven Premier League matches.

Chelsea will have the opportunity to move to the top of the table on Saturday with a win a Hull City, but Arsenal can reclaim the top spot with a victory at Aston Villa on Monday. The Gunners will be especially motivated to get three points at Villa Park after the Villans scalped the London club at the Emirates in the first fixture of the season.

Also on Saturday, Tottenham welcomes Crystal Palace to White Hart Lane, Southampton hosts West Bromwich Albion at St. Mary's, Sunderland heads to Craven Cottage to square off with Fulham and Everton takes on Norwich City at Goodison Park.

And on Sunday, two title contenders will return to league action as Manchester City heads to St. James' Park to face Newcastle while Liverpool meets Stoke City at the Britannia.
