Lonnie McClanahan had a career-high 25 points and Texas-Arlington used a 9-0 run in overtime to pull away from Louisiana-Monroe 83-79 on Thursday.

McClanahan added seven assists, including one to Shaquille White-Miller on a 3-pointer that put UT Arlington ahead for good at 79-76 with 1:18 to play. McClanahan extended the lead to 81-76 on a layup with 28 seconds left.

Jamel Outler had 20 points and made the game-clinching free throw with 5 seconds left in overtime. Brandon Edwards added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Mavericks (6-9, 1-2 Sun Belt Conference).

Outler hit a 3-pointer to put UTA ahead 70-69 with 21 seconds left in regulation.

ULM took the lead back at 71-70 on Jayon James' layup with 6 seconds left, but the Warhawks (4-6, 1-1) fouled Outler on a 3-point attempt with 1.3 seconds left. Outler made 1 of 3 to send the game to overtime.
