Former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel has not spoken to Browns, but doesn't dismiss NFL interest

Former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel said he has not talked to the Browns about their job, but said "it doesn't mean that I don't have any interest in the NFL."

Tressel, who spent 10 years at Ohio State and won a national title before he was fired during a scandal, said on a Columbus radio station that the Browns have not contacted him. Tressel grew up in Berea, where the Browns train and have their headquarters.

A report last week that he would be interviewed by the Browns was quickly shot down.

Tressel, 61, currently works as a vice president at Akron. After he left the Buckeyes, he spent one year as a consultant on Indianapolis' coaching staff.

The Browns are looking for their second coach in a year after Rob Chudzinski was fired last month. They have interviewed at least four known candidates.
