Lynchburg, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Liberty will seek to claim a seventh Big South Conference title in eight years as part of its 2014 schedule announced on Wednesday.
The Flames, who were 8-4 under coach Turner Gill this past season, will be seeking their first-ever FCS playoff berth as well. They will play six home games and six road games.
Liberty will open its season at the University of North Carolina from the Atlantic Coast Conference on Aug. 30 and will bookend its non-conference schedule against a second FBS opponent, visiting new Sun Belt Conference member Appalachian State on Oct. 11.
