The Washington Redskins have acquired another one of Robert Griffin III's former Baylor teammates.

The Redskins announced Tuesday that they have signed receiver David Gettis to a reserve-future contract.

Griffin and Gettis played together for two seasons at Baylor. Gettis was drafted in the sixth round by the Carolina Panthers in 2010 but has played little since tearing the ACL in his left knee during training camp the following year.

Last month, the Redskins claimed Griffin's college center, J.D. Walton, off waivers from the Denver Broncos.

The Redskins signed seven other players to reserve-future contracts: punter Robert Malone, running back Davin Meggett, linebacker Gabe Miller, cornerback Ryan Mouton, tight end Richard Quinn, offensive lineman Tevita Stevens and defensive back Peyton Thompson.
