New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The NFL has finalized its Week 17 schedule and moved the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys into the Sunday night time slot.
The winner of that contest in Arlington will capture the NFC East crown. It will mark the third straight season the Cowboys will play on the final Sunday night with the division championship at stake. They lost to the New York Giants in 2011 and fell at Washington last year.
There will be another winner-take-all divisional showdown next Sunday, as the Bears and Packers meet with the NFC North title at stake. That game was moved from 1 p.m. ET to 4:25 p.m.
Also moved to 4:25 p.m. were games between the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints. The AFC East champion Patriots will play at the same time the AFC West champion Denver Broncos meet Oakland with the top seed in the conference at stake.
The NFL tries to ensure the final week of the season will not give any teams with playoff aspirations a competitive advantage.
