Moscow, Russia (SportsNetwork.com) - Roy Jones Jr. easily won a unanimous decision over France's Zine Eddine Benmakhlouf in a cruiserweight title fight on Saturday.

Jones (57-8) was victorious on scorecards reading 118-109, 119-108 and 120-108 to capture a vacant cruiserweight title offered by a German version of the World Boxing Union.

It was the first time Benmakhlouf (17-4-1) squared off in a 12-round fight.

Jones fought for the first time in more than a year, since a 10-round split decision win over Pawel Glazewski in Poland on June 30, 2012.

Also at Dynamo Sports Palace on Saturday, Russia's Dmitry Chudinov (12-0-2) beat Colombia's Juan Camilo Novoa (22-6-1) in a sixth-round technical knockout to win the WBA world middleweight title.
