Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Columbus Blue Jackets forward Marian Gaborik didn't even last one period in his return to action.

Having been activated from injured reserve on Friday, the veteran forward left Saturday's 6-3 win against Philadelphia after absorbing a high hit from Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo just prior to Ryan Johansen's goal at 10:43 of the opening period.

Rinaldo did not receive a penalty. The club announced the diagnosis just after the start of the second period, then revealed after the game that Gaborik was placed back on injured reserve.

The 31-year-old collected five goals and six assists in 17 games before being sidelined on Nov. 14. He is listed as out indefinitely.
