New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Edmonton Oilers defenseman Corey Potter has been suspended two games without pay for boarding Anaheim Ducks forward Nick Bonino during Sunday's meeting in Anaheim.
Potter was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for checking from behind after sending Bonino face-first into the boards at the 5:40 mark of the second period.
Potter will forfeit $7,948.72 for the infraction. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
