New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Indiana Pacers forward Paul George and Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant have been named the Players of the Month for their respective conferences.

This is the first monthly award of the season since none were given for the games played in October, though those games were taken into consideration.

George ranked fifth in the league in scoring (23.6 ppg) and was tied for seventh in steals (2.13 spg) to go along with 6.1 rpg and 3.3 apg in helping the Pacers race out to a 15-1 start to the season.

Durant's Thunder went 11-3 over the period thanks to his league-best 28.3 ppg and six double-doubles.

Others nominated included Golden State's Stephen Curry, Houston's Dwight Howard, Miami's LeBron James, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook, Orlando's Arron Afflalo, and Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge.
