Davion Berry scored 20 points with six assists and two steals as Weber State snagged its first win of the season, beating San Jose State 72-55 Saturday night.

Joel Bolomboy scored 8 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Wildcats (1-3). Richaud Gittens came off the bench to score 10.

Down 39-32 at 14:17 in the second, Rashad Muhammad sank three 3-pointers in just over two minutes to help give the Spartans a temporary lead. The Wildcats' Royce Williams answered with a 3-pointer, sparking a 16-0 run to give the advantage back to Weber State.

Berry and Bolomboy finished off the Spartans in the final three minutes, scoring seven of the game's final eight points for the Weber State win.

Chris Cunningham scored 10 points with 14 rebounds and two assists for the Spartans (2-6). Muhammad had 17 points including four 3-pointers.
