Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose is out for the season with another knee injury, a familiar and painful spot.

The folks at Adidas might be wincing, too.

The sports apparel giant might have to find a backup plan after centering its NBA marketing campaign on Rose. Industry experts say Adidas might have no choice with the bulk of the season still to come.

Rose injured his right knee last week. He missed all of last season following surgery on his left knee.

Adidas launched "The Return" campaign documenting Rose's recovery last year from the earlier injury.
