The Minnesota Timberwolves have finalized the trade that sends Derrick Williams to Sacramento for Luc Mbah a Moute.

The deal was finished on Tuesday. Williams was the No. 2 overall draft pick in 2011. But he wasn't a good fit for Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman's system and had played sparingly through the first 16 games this season.

The Kings are hoping Williams can bring some offensive punch to a team that could use some more of it in the frontcourt alongside DeMarcus Cousins. Williams averaged 10.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in just over two years with the Wolves.

Mbah a Moute brings a physical defensive presence to a Timberwolves team that needs it. The 6-foot-8 forward played at UCLA with Wolves forward Kevin Love.
