Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - EUROPEAN TOUR - ALFRED DUNHILL CHAMPIONSHIP, Leopard Creek Country Club, Malelane, South Africa - The European Tour remains in South Africa this week for the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
Last year, Charl Schwartzel fired four rounds in the 60s and cruised to a 12- stroke win. The victory was his second at this event, as he also won the title in 2005. His total of 264 smashed Adam Scott's old record of 267 from 2001.
Schwartzel is back in the field this week and aiming for a hat trick of titles at the event. The former Masters champion is coming off a tie for fourth at the South African Open Championship.
Sixty-two South Africans, including Schwartzel and George Coetzee, will be among those vying for victory at Leopard Creek Country Club. Also in the field this week are two-time major champion John Daly and former European Tour winners Pablo Martin, Garth Mulroy and Richard Sterne.
Golf Channel will have coverage of the final three rounds.
The European Tour heads east next week for the Hong Kong Open, which Miguel Angel Jimenez won in 2012.
