Michigan State safety Isaiah Lewis has been ejected from Saturday's game against Northwestern for a targeting penalty.
Lewis was flagged after drilling the Wildcats' Kain Colter as he tried to catch a short pass from Trevor Siemian early in the first quarter, jarring the ball loose. Colter, the Wildcats' quarterback, was split out wide.
Colter stayed down for a moments and walked off clutching his midsection.
The 13th-ranked Spartans are trying to lock up the Big Ten Legends Division and earn their second trip to the conference championship game in three seasons.
