Lamont Brown III rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns to lead Morgan State to a 31-26 victory over Delaware State Saturday.

Brown had 18 carries and got the Bears on the board first on a 32-yard run early in the first quarter. Quarterback Seth Higgins rushed for 117 yards and had 80 yards passing.

The Bears (5-7, 5-3 MEAC) led 10-6 at halftime. But the Hornets' Cory Murphy threw three touchdown passes in the second half to overtake Morgan State by one.

With less than five minutes left in the game, Higgins marched Morgan State 57 yards and took the ball in himself from four yards to put the Bears up five points.

Cory Murphy threw for 379 yards and three touchdowns for the Hornets (5-6, 5-3). Kicker Mitchell Ward had both an extra point and field goal attempt blocked by Morgan State in the second quarter.
