Dwyane Wade is not playing for the Miami Heat in their game against the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night, the second time this season he's been held out for rest purposes.
Wade also missed the second game of the season in Philadelphia. He is not dealing with an injury, but the Heat are being mindful of wear-and-tear on his knees.
Wade is averaging 16.7 points this season for Miami, though missed six of his seven shots and scored only four points on the second night of a back-to-back at Charlotte on Saturday.
Wade will travel with the Heat to Orlando, where Miami plays on Wednesday night.
Atlanta was without forward Paul Millsap, who was not with the team because of right elbow tendinitis.
