Ogwumike has 28 points, 15 rebounds; No. 3 Stanford women beat UC Davis, 66-48

Chiney Ogwumike had 28 points and 15 rebounds in helping No. 3 Stanford beat UC Davis 66-48 Sunday.

Amber Orrange added 10 points for the Cardinal (3-1), who beat the Aggies for the eighth straight time and even the series, dating to 1971, at 9-9.

Sydnee Fipps scored 14 points for the Aggies (0-3), who also have top-ranked UConn on their road schedule.

Cardinal coach Tara VanDerveer, in her 35th season and 28th at Stanford, earned her 897th career win, three shy of becoming the fifth women's basketball coach to record at least 900 victories.

Stanford led 34-20 at the half.
