Jay Ajayi rushed for three touchdowns and quarterback Grant Hedrick threw for three more scores to lead Boise State to a 48-7 victory over Wyoming Saturday night.

The Broncos (7-3, 5-1 Mountain West Conference) put the game away early, scoring 48 unanswered points after the Cowboys scored early in the first quarter.

Ajayi rushed for 70 yards and scored on runs of 22, 12 and 2 yards. Hedrick completed 27 of 36 passes for 265 yards. All of his touchdown passes went to Matt Miller, the first from 14 yards out.

In the second quarter, Hedrick fired a 48-yarder to Miller, who outmuscled the defender near the goal line. Hedrick also tossed a 5-yard TD to Miller in the third quarter.

Wyoming (4-6, 2-4) struggled to move the ball, losing to Boise State for the seventh straight time.

Quarterback Brett Smith threw for 207 yards but also had two interceptions.
