Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Philadelphia 76ers rookie guard Michael Carter-Williams will not play Friday against the Atlanta Hawks due to a bruise on the arch of his left foot.

Carter-Williams, who missed Wednesday's 123-117 overtime win over the Rockets, has averaged 17.4 points, 7.6 assists, and 5.4 rebounds through eight games this season.

He is in a walking boot and is considered day-to-day. Tony Wroten will make his second consecutive start in place of Carter-Williams.
