Homestead, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Ryan Blaney claimed the pole position, while soon-to-be crowned Camping World Truck Series champion Matt Crafton qualified eighth for Friday night's Ford EcoBoost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Crafton will officially clinch the 2013 truck championship when he takes the green-flag to start the 200-mile season-ending race at Homestead. He presently holds a 46-point lead over his closest competitor, Ty Dillon, who qualified third.
Blaney, a rookie in the series this year, turned a lap at 168.120 mph for his second pole of the season. Johnny Sauter, who is Crafton's teammate at ThorSport Racing, earned the outside pole with a lap at 167.686 mph.
Nelson Piquet Jr. will start fourth, followed by Ross Chastain, James Buescher, the 2012 truck champion, and Austin Dillon, who won the series title two years ago.
Cale Gale, the winner of last year's race at Homestead, and Miguel Paludo completed the top-10.
