Christian Hackenberg's season has mirrored that of Penn State overall. Some highs, some lows and a lot of memories in between.
But if the Nittany Lions freshman quarterback has indeed hit the wall during this rollercoaster season, he's not showing it. In fact, he's focused on finishing with an upswing.
"You're going to face adversity throughout the season," Hackenberg said. "That's something I tried to keep on the back burner and just focus on doing everything I can do to help the team. The big thing for me is sending the team out right. They've done a lot for me and I have a lot of respect for the guys and I couldn't thank them enough."
Penn State (5-4) meets Purdue (1-8) on Saturday.
