Tony Gill scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, to carry Pacific to an 80-78 win over Nevada on Friday night.

Gill, who was 9 of 12, got help from Ross Rivera, who scored 14 points, and Sama Taku, who had 13, giving new coach Ron Verlin his first win as a Tiger. The team shot 53 percent from the field and won the game on a layup by Andrew Bock with 4 seconds left.

Nevada kept the game close, getting 23 points and four steals from Deonte Burton. Three other Nevada players hit double-digits: Jerry Evans, Jr., with 13 points, Marqueze Coleman, with 12, and Michael Perez, 11. The Wolfpack tied the score at 78 with 34 seconds to play on a 3-pointer by Coleman.

But Nevada couldn't stop Bock from driving for the winning layup and then missed two shots just before the buzzer.
