San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - San Diego Chargers wide receiver Eddie Royal sat out a third straight practice Friday, leaving his status in question for this weekend's game against AFC West rival Denver.
Royal, San Diego's leader with seven receiving touchdowns, has been dealing with a nagging toe injury but has yet to miss a game this season. The team has termed him questionable to face the Broncos.
Starting outside linebacker Jarret Johnson was also listed as questionable due to a hamstring issue that kept him out of the Chargers' overtime loss at Washington last Sunday.
San Diego is expected to get back two other regulars for Sunday's conference clash, with inside linebacker Donald Butler and guard Chad Rinehart both declared probable. Butler was inactive for the Washington game due to a groin pull, while Rinehart hasn't played since Week 3 because of a sprained toe.
