Toronto Maple Leafs center Dave Bolland cut his left leg Saturday night and was taken to a hospital to have surgery.

Bolland was injured in the second period when Vancouver's Zack Kassian checked him along the boards in the Maple Leafs' 4-0 loss. After the game, Bolland was placed on a stretcher and taken to the hospital.
