St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - David Ortiz will start at first base for the Boston Red Sox in Saturday's Game 3 of the World Series, but fellow slugger Mike Napoli will not be in the American League champions' starting lineup with the elimination of the designated hitter in the NL park.

Ortiz, who went 4-for-6 with two home runs and five RBI from his usual DH spot as the Red Sox split the first two games with the St. Louis Cardinals at Fenway Park, will remain as the team's cleanup hitter for Saturday's clash. Napoli, Boston's primary first baseman who finished second on the club in homers (23) and RBI (92) during the regular season, had gone just 1-for-7 over Games 1 and 2, with the lone hit a three-run double in the Sox' 8-1 victory in Wednesday's opener.

Red Sox manager John Farrell made one other lineup switch for Game 3, with Daniel Nava hitting fifth and slotted in left field. Jonny Gomes had started in left in each of the first two Fall Classic matchups held in Boston.
