Marseille, France (SportsNetwork.com) - Marseille suffered its third successive Ligue 1 defeat on Saturday, falling in a 3-2 loss to Reims at the Stade Velodrome.

The home side controlled much of the opening period but went into the halftime interval trailing by two goals, both coming via deflected efforts.

Floyd Ayite opened the scoring when his free kick came off of Saber Khelifa on its way past Steve Mandanda, and Mads Albaek doubled the advantage moments later when his first-time effort deflected off of Nicolas N'Koulou before going into the net.

Florian Thauvin cut the deficit in half by unleashing a shot into the bottom corner in the 56th minute, and it appeared as though Marseille had done enough for a point when Andre-Pierre Gignac's deflected shot leveled the score in the 86th minute, but Reims ultimately claimed the win through Prince Oniangue's header deep into stoppage time.

Oniangue's late strike leaves Marseille on 17 points, just two points better than Reims.

Guingamp, meanwhile, won its third straight Ligue 1 contest by getting a 2-1 victory over Ajaccio on Saturday. Benjamin Andre had given visiting Ajaccio the lead in the 41st minute, but goals from Claudio Beauvue and Mustapha Diallo in the 86th and 89th minutes, respectively, granted Guingamp a dramatic result.

Rennes cruised to a comfortable 5-0 win at Toulouse on Saturday with Romain Alessandrini, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Foued Kadir netting a goal apiece in the first half and Nelson Miguel Castro Oliveira getting a second-half brace.

Also on Saturday, Lorient snapped its losing skid with a 2-1 victory over Sochaux, Modou Sougou handed Evian a 1-0 win at Valenciennes and Sebastien Squillaci produced the lone goal in Bastia's 1-0 defeat of Nice.
