Reports: Reggie Rogers dead at 49

Former Washington Huskies All-American defensive lineman Reggie Rogers was found dead Thursday in Seattle, according to local reports. Rogers was 49.

Rogers played for the Huskies from 1984-'86. The Detroit Lions drafted him No. 7 overall in the 1987 draft. He spent just two seasons with the Lions. In 1988, he killed three teens in a drunk-driving accident. His blood-alchohol level was more than two times the legal limit and he served a year in prison. He returned to the NFL in 1991 with Buffalo but finished his career having played just 15 games in four seasons.

In 2011, Rogers was sentenced to a year in jail for his sixth conviction of drunken driving. He was arrested earlier this month after allegedly hitting his wife.

Rogers' daughter Regina was a Pac-12 basketball player at Washington in 2012.
