Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Gregory Campbell notched the deciding goal in the middle portion of the third period, and Boston used a three-goal final stanza to claim a 5-3 victory over San Jose at TD Garden.
David Krejci and Torey Krug also lit the lamp and Milan Lucic contributed three assists for the Bruins, who have won two in a row for the first time in the young season.
Tuukka Rask made 31 saves to even his record at 3-3-0.
Logan Couture tallied twice and Joe Thornton once for the Sharks, who completed a five-game road trip at 2-2-1. Patrick Marleau added a pair of helpers, but Antti Niemi allowed four goals on 32 shots.
Boston assumed a 4-3 edge with 9:17 left in regulation when Niemi let a Campbell shot slip through his equipment.
Reigning Selke Trophy winner Patrice Bergeron was given a double minor for high sticking with 4:09 to play, but the Bruins failed to give up quality scoring chances for the duration.
San Jose opted for an extra attacker with over a minute remaining, and Krejci scored into the empty net with 25 seconds to go.
Brad Marchand's blistering shot from the right circle on a Bruins power play ticked off the crossbar and in with 6:03 remaining in the opening period.
San Jose equalized on its next advantage as Couture beat Rask from the left circle with 3:32 remaining.
"I thought Logan had his best game of the season. He had eight or 10 shots on goal and was dangerous," Sharks head coach Todd McLellan said.
Krug pushed the Bruins back in front just shy of the seven-minute mark of the second period, only seven seconds after Andrew Desjardins was sent off for tripping.
Couture drew the visitors even with 3:45 on the clock, one-timing a Marleau feed home from the high slot, and Thornton's redirection of an elevated Joe Pavelski pass only 37 seconds later gave the Sharks a 3-2 lead.
The hosts received a jolt of adrenaline as Seth Griffith picked up his first career goal on a rising shot from the inner arc of the right circle to tie the game less than five minutes into the third.
"I've had a couple of chances the last few games so it's great to get the first one out of the way," Griffith said.

The Marchand tally was the initial first-period goal given up to the opposition by the Sharks in the young season ... Both teams are in action on home ice Thursday, with Boston welcoming the Islanders and San Jose entertaining Columbus.
