David Ortiz is going to his third World Series in 10 years after an outstanding regular season.

But there were some who thought he might be washed up after missing nearly half of last season with a right heel injury. The Red Sox finished in last place in 2012, but Ortiz responded this year by leading Boston with a .309 batting average, 30 homers and 103 RBIs.

Ortiz says people are going to be critical and you can't make everyone happy. Now he says he's done listening to naysayers and he's proven himself more than anyone in the Red Sox organization for a long time.

He'll be in the middle of the batting order on Wednesday night when the Red Sox open the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals.
