Macau, China (SportsNetwork.com) - Scott Hend closed with a 4-under 67 on Sunday and cruised to a 3-stroke win at the Venetian Macau Open.

Hend, who has won two of the last three Asian Tour events, ended at 16-under- par 268 at Macau Golf and Country Club.

The Australian birdied three of the last five holes on the outward nine to make the turn at minus-15. Hend tripped to a bogey on the par-4 10th, but came back with a birdie on No. 13. He closed the event in style with a birdie on the par-5 18th.

Anirban Lahiri fired a 9-under 62 to set a new course record and that helped him take second place at 13-under 271. Four-time major champion Ernie Els (67) and Elmer Salvador (66) shared third place at minus-12.
