This week's edition of Monday Night Football showcases the Minnesota Vikings at New York Giants. The Vikings have some talent on the offensive side of the ball, but how the offensive line gels this year may have everything to do with the Vikings' success. Minnesota is once again led by one of the most dynamic runners in the game in Adrian Peterson and he should be near or at the top of the rushing stats in the NFL if his offensive line improves. That improvement will also have to come in the form of pass protection for quarterback Christian Ponder, who may spend a lot of time throwing on the run to his receivers Jerome Simpson and Greg Jennings. The Giants have one of the best offensive tandems in the game with wide receiver Victor Cruz hauling in passes from quarterback Eli Manning. But to be effective, the Giants will need to develop a more consistent running game. Both teams will need to show improvement on the defensive side of the ball. The Giants finished 31st in overall defense in the league last year while the Vikings finished 24th against the pass, something that Manning could take major advantage of. Tune in for what could be a high scoring affair as Monday Night Football continues all season long on FOX Sports.
