Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Pittsburgh Steelers placed offensive tackle Levi Brown and tight end/fullback David Johnson on injured reserve Tuesday.

Brown, who has an injured triceps, did not appear in a game for the Steelers after being acquired from the Arizona Cardinals in a trade on Oct. 2.

In his seventh season, Brown started Arizona's first four games this season.

Johnson, who has an injured wrist, appeared in all five games this season. He made two starts and had four catches for 70 yards.

To fill the roster spots, the Steelers signed free agent tight end Richard Gordon and promoted cornerback Isaiah Green from the practice squad.

Gordon, in his third season, appeared in 27 games for Oakland over his first two-plus seasons. He has only three career receptions, one for a touchdown.

Green is a first-year player who has spent time on Pittsburgh's active roster and practice squad this season.
