LeBron James scored 20 points and Norris Cole added 15 to give the Miami Heat an 86-75 preseason victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night at the Sprint Center.

Mario Chalmers, who played at nearby Kansas, scored 10 points for Miami (3-0), while Michael Beasley, who played at Kansas State, added 13.

Cole scored eight points, including two 3-pointers, in the fourth quarter to keep the Bobcats (0-2) at bay.

Al Jefferson led Charlotte with 11 points and Jeff Taylor had 10.

Chris Bosh added seven points, while the final member of Miami's big three, Dwyane Wade, sat the game out after playing Thursday night against Detroit. The Heat wanted to keep Wade from playing on consecutive nights since he's coming off a knee injury last season.
