Kleberson's late goal rescues Union against TFC

Chester, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kleberson hasn't played a huge role for the Philadelphia Union this season, but he may have scored the most important goal of the campaign as his free kick in stoppage time snatched a 1-0 victory for the club against Toronto FC at PPL Park.

The Union was playing down a man after Fabinho's 78th-minute red card, but Kleberson entered the game in the 79th and made the most of a last-second chance, curling a free kick past Toronto goalkeeper Joe Bendik to secure a huge three points.

Philadelphia moves into fifth place with the result, two points clear of the Chicago Fire, while TFC has lost three of its last four.

Michael Farfan's long-range effort was one of the few chances in the first half, and it was kept out by a nice save from Bendik.

Antoine Hoppenot went even closer for the home side on the hour mark as he was released by Danny Cruz and beat Bendik, only for his shot to smash against the post.

Fabinho was sent off 12 minutes from time, and Robert Earnshaw nearly put TFC ahead in the 81st when his free kick struck the woodwork.

A draw would not have helped the Union's playoff push too much, but Kleberson stepped up and became an instant hero with his last-gasp goal.
