Third-ranked Clemson (4-0, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) visits Syracuse on Saturday.
Syracuse (2-2) will be making its ACC debut under rookie coach Scott Shafer, and the Orange expect to excel.
The home team is coming off a bye week, and is 2-0 at home this season, — winning the last two games convincingly: 54-0 over FCS foe Wagner, and 52-17 two weeks ago over Tulane.
Syracuse is almost a two-touchdown underdog, even in the friendly confines of the Carrier Dome. The Orange have won six straight at home since a 42-41 loss to Northwestern in the 2012 season opener, with their average margin of victory at 25 points.
