And then the Kansas City Chiefs used the surge from their fans to decimate Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Jamaal Charles returned from a sprained right ankle and scored three touchdowns as the Chiefs routed the Patriots, 41-14, on Monday night. Charles carried the ball 18 times for 92 yards and added three receptions for 16 yards for Kansas City (2-2), which raced out to a 27-0 third-quarter lead and never looked back in its second straight win after an 0-2 start. The Chiefs' fans reclaimed the record for loudest outdoor sports venue in the first half. Their noise level of 142.2 decibels broke the 137.6 mark that the Seattle Seahawks faithful set on Dec. 2. Kansas City previously set the record on Oct. 13. Alex Smith completed 20-of-26 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns, Travis Kelce had eight receptions for 93 yards and a score and Knile Davis posted 107 yards on 16 totes in the triumph. New England failed to crack the 300-yard barrier for the third time in four games after doing it just four times last season. The Patriots totaled 290 yards. Brady was 14-of-23 for 159 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions and Brandon LaFell caught six passes for 119 yards and a score for the Patriots (2-2), who suffered their worst defeat since losing to San Diego 41-17 in 2005.

Joe Flacco completed 22-of-31 passes for 327 yards and three scores for Baltimore (3-1), winners in three straight following a Week 1 loss to Cincinnati. Smith, who spent his first 13 seasons with Carolina, took jabs at his former quarterback Cam Newton leading up to the game but backed it up by making seven catches for 139 yards while Newton was subpar for a second straight week. Playing through various injuries, Newton threw for 197 yards and a touchdown on 14-of-25 passing, but struggled in the second half as the game got away from the Panthers (2-2). Philbin wouldn't officially commit to Tannehill as the team's starter during the week, as the Dolphins (2-2) followed up a stirring season-opening win against New England with subpar efforts in losses to Buffalo and Kansas City. Tannehill's performance on Sunday should quiet any rumors of backup Matt Moore taking over. Miami's first-round pick in 2012 completed 14 straight passes at one point Sunday, finishing the contest 23-of-31 for 278 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception on a deflected pass. Lamar Miller ran for 64 yards with two touchdowns and the Miami defense was brilliant after allowing a touchdown on Oakland's first series. The Dolphins picked off three passes and returned a fumble for a score. Raiders rookie quarterback Derek Carr completed 16-of-25 passes for 146 yards with a touchdown and an interception before exiting the contest in the third quarter with a knee injury. Matt McGloin took over and threw for 129 yards with a touchdown and two picks as the Raiders (0-4) suffered their 10th straight defeat dating back to last year. Oakland is winless after four games for the first time since an 0-5 start in 2006.

Bridgewater, who ran for a touchdown but didn't pass for any, injured his ankle late in the fourth quarter on a drive that ended with the Vikings taking a gamble on fourth down at the 1-yard line. It worked, with Matt Asiata's touchdown giving the Vikings the lead for good with 10:50 remaining. Asiata scored three times and Jerick McKinnon rushed for 135 yards as the Vikings (2-2) won for the first time in three games since star running back Adrian Peterson was indicted on child-abuse charges and deactivated. Ryan threw for 298 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions for Atlanta (2-2), which played 10 days after its last game, a 56-14 rout of Tampa Bay on Thursday night. He averaged a healthy 6.2 yards on 24 carries for the Cowboys (3-1), who raced out to a 24-0 halftime lead and never looked back in their third straight win. Dallas moved to 14-1 when Murray runs the ball at least 20 times. Tony Romo was 22-of-29 for 262 yards and three touchdowns, Terrance Williams had six receptions for 77 yards and two scores and Dez Bryant added three catches for 44 yards and a touchdown in the triumph. Drew Brees completed 32-of-44 passes for 340 yards with two touchdowns and an interception and Jimmy Graham hauled in eight throws for 86 yards and a score for New Orleans (1-3), which fell to 0-3 on the road this season.

Eli Manning tossed three of his four touchdown passes to Larry Donnell, who became the first Giants tight end to haul in three scores in 52 years, and New York routed the Washington Redskins, 45-14, on Thursday night. New York has employed five different starting tight ends since Jeremy Shockey's departure in 2007, with the Giants' leading one averaging 42 receptions for 539 yards during the six-year span. Shockey, meanwhile, averaged 62 catches and 705 yards a season during his six- year stint with the Giants from 2002-2007. Donnell finished with 54 yards on seven receptions for New York (2-2), which has won its last two games after beginning 0-2. Joe Walton was the last Giants tight end to score three touchdowns in 1962. Manning, who also added a score on the ground, completed 28-of-39 passes for 300 yards. Rueben Randle posted eight catches for 89 yards and Victor Cruz caught six balls for 108 yards in the triumph. After going 30-of-48 for a career-high 427 yards and three touchdowns in his first start of the year for the injured Robert Griffin III Sunday against Philadelphia, Kirk Cousins came back down to earth Thursday. He was 19-of-33 with a touchdown and four interceptions -- all in the second half. He also lost a fumble.
