Arizona Cardinals linebacker Alex Okafor will miss the remainder of the season with a torn biceps.

The rookie revealed his injury via Twitter.

"Out for the season with a torn bicep. Coming back stronger next year," Okafor wrote.

The Cardinals placed Okafor on injured reserve Wednesday. He's the third linebacker to go on the season-ending list this week, as Sam Acho and Lorenzo Alexander went on IR on Monday.

To fill the roster spot for Okafor, Arizona promoted linebacker Kenny Demens from the practice squad. Demens spent the preseason with the Cardinals after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Michigan and joined the club's practice squad after being among the team's final cuts.

Wide receiver Devon Wylie was signed to the practice squad.

The Cardinals are spending the week in Florida to prepare for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay after playing this past Sunday in New Orleans.
