The Philadelphia 76ers announced Tuesday that 2013 first-round draft picks Nerlens Noel and Michael Carter-Williams have signed their rookie contracts.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The Sixers seleted Noel, a 6-foot-10 center who led the nation in blocked shots during his one and only season at Kentucky, sixth overall after acquiring the pick as part of a trade that sent All-Star point guard Jrue Holiday to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Philadelphia then took Holiday's intended replacement in Carter-Williams, a second team All-Big East selection as a sophomore at Syracuse, with the No. 11 overall choice.
Noel, the 2012-13 SEC Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, is not expected to make his pro debut until at least December as he makes his way back from a torn ACL he sustained while with Kentucky back in February.
Carter-Williams averaged 13.6 points, 6.8 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals in five games at the Orlando Pro Summer League in July.
