Davis Webb had two touchdown passes to help No. 25 Texas Tech to a 33-7 win over Texas State on Saturday.

Webb was just 19-for-43 and was picked off twice, but did throw for 310 yards for the Red Raiders (4-0), who have won every game by double digits. Jace Amaro had nine catches for 86 yards, while Bradley Marquez and Eric Ward each caught a score in the win.

Tyler Arndt, Jordan Moore and Duke DeLancellotti combined to go 15-for-31 for just 133 yards and an interception for the Bobcats (2-1), who had opened the season with wins over Southern Miss and Prairie View.

"I think when we look at the film there will be some things that we can say we did pretty good and we can build on," said Texas State head coach Dennis Franchione. "I mean, I feel like we could have won the football game tonight."

The only score of the first quarter came on the opening drive as Ryan Bustin's 29-yard field goal capped a 12-play, 58-yard march to give the Red Raiders a 3-0 lead just over four minutes in.

Early in the second quarter, a fumble from Terrence Franks was recovered by Texas Tech and Will Smith took it into the end zone on a 9-yard score and a 10-0 lead.

"They've done a great job the first four weeks really of leading this team, and so hopefully they can keep building on that, and the offense needs to catch up," said Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury about his defense.

Late in the first half, the Red Raiders got a 21-yard field goal from Bustin to take a 13-0 lead into the break.

The Bobcats finally got their offense on track in the third quarter as the team took the opening possession of the half into the end zone thanks to a 49- yard touchdown run to make it a 13-7 game.

Texas Tech, though, answered quickly as Webb's touchdown pass of four yards to Ward gave the team a 20-7 advantage.

Bustin's 27-yard field goal with 6:42 to play in the third gave the Red Raiders a 23-7 lead.

After stopping Texas State on a 4th-and-4 at its own 29, Texas Tech took advantage of the short field as Webb hit Marquez for a 10-yard score and a 30-7 advantage with 12:57 to play.

Bustin's 36-yard field goal with 9:32 to play capped the scoring.
