Cory Schneider made 26 saves to lead the New Jersey Devils to a 3-0 win over the New York Islanders in the first NHL game at the Barclays Center.

Jacob Josefson scored at 10:14 of the first period and Patrik Elias and Steve Bernier added goals in the second and third periods, respectively.

Evgeni Nabokov made 22 saves for New York, which fell to 1-3-0 in the preseason.

The Devils improved to 2-1-0 in the preseason.

The game drew 14,689 fans, including "26 percent of ticket buyers are from Brooklyn," according to Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark.

League officials were in Barclays Saturday night to observe the first NHL game in the one-year old building. New York will move into $1 billion arena for the 2015-16 season.
